Robotic surgery is a type of minimally invasive operating technique in which trained doctors use microsurgical instruments that can be inserted into the patient’s body through a series of small or quarter-inch incisions instead of large incisions. The world’s most advanced surgical robot to perform these surgeries is known as da Vinci C. The da Vinci Si is made up of three separate robotic arms to which these microscopic devices are attached. These arms allow the surgeon to maximise access to the operating field with great precision and flexibility. An additional robotic arm is equipped with a high-definition 3-D camera that magnifies the entire procedure and guides the surgeon throughout the procedure. A console to which the surgeon has access is also located in the operating room, controlling equipment and a high definition camera. With the help of a set of master controls, surgeons can operate the da Vinci C’s four robotic arms. At the same time, he can see through a stereoscopic and high-definition monitor that basically puts the surgeon in the patient’s workspace. The 3-D view and images that the monitor provides are light years ahead of what the human eye can see during conventional operation. The surgeon controls the robotic arms and the robot executes his instructions precisely. If there is a need to change the progress and balance of the robot’s movements, the surgeon can do so through the master console. By choosing from a scale of three to one, the surgeon can vary the angle and range of the robot’s arm movements with the surgeon’s arm movements. The master console is designed in such a way that the surgeon’s eyes and hands are always aligned with his view of the surgical site to reduce fatigue and fatigue. As a patient, it is understandable that you may be concerned about the entire surgical procedure being performed by a robot.
